Assistant Accountant

Sharp Consultancy have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to join a large manufacturing business based towards the Mansfield area.
The role offers a variety of interaction with the finance team as well as customers. Additionally, you will be working directly with the Head of Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a career minded and driven Graduate, or ACCA/CIMA part qualified accountant, who is looking to join a business that will offer continuous career development.

Key duties:
*The preparation of daily sales, margin, and cash report - both internal and up to the group
*Statutory returns (VAT, Duty Claims)
*Bank Reconciliations (inc. Petty Cash and Company Credit Cards)
*Transaction Processing (e., journal Posting, Accruals/Prepayments)
*Balance Sheet Reconciliations
*Assist in the monthly Management Account process
*Assist in the annual statutory audit
*Adhoc reporting and project work

Person spec:
*CIMA/ACCA part qualified accountant that is actively studying towards a full qualification.
*Ability to effectively prioritise workload.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Analytical skills and a high attention to detail.
*Excellent excel skills.
