Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working in partnership with a reputable manufacturing business in the Sheffield area who are looking to grow their team with an ambitious and enthusiastic Assistant Financial Accountant to support across a wide range of duties in the finance team.

This is a varied but demanding role and is the perfect opportunity for someone working through their AAT qualification, or currently studying towards CIMA/ACCA, who is looking to broaden their knowledge further.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

*Significant involvement in the weekly and monthly financial reporting process
*Improvement of Purchase Ledger Controls and standing data
*Monitoring of GRNI's
*Working with the GSS AP team on any purchasing queries
*Sales & margin analysis
*VAT and intrastat reporting
*Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Financial Accountant/Controller
*Liaising with internal and external customers and providing financial information and advice
*Maintaining records and preparing accounts and management information
*Assisting with the preparation of accounts
*Monthly journal posting
*Auditing external and internal work
*Looking after financial transactions and budget
*Controlling budgets
*Reports writing Any other duties as may be required by the wider business in relation to finance


Person specification:

*Studying towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA
*A self-starter, dedicated and a driven person
*Strong organizational skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
*Ability to effectively integrate within the finance team
