Reporting directly into the Finance Director, the Group Financial Accountant position is a key member of the finance team whose key responsibilities will be:-
CORE
·Responsibility for
The preparation of the Group and subsidiary financial statements
Prepare and review monthly group reconciliations under IFRS
Prepare bank covenant reporting in line with Facilities Agreement
Maintain external interest and hedging spreadsheet
Review monthly divisional management accounts submissions and reconciliations
Consolidate monthly divisional submissions for Group MI pack
Assist with acquisition integration of newly-acquired companies
Perform ad hoc finance projects as and when required
·Treasury
Responsibility for the company's cash flow projections
Responsibility for the treasury departments internal control procedures to ensure relevant robust and up-to-date
Preparation of the annual statutory accounts, valuation of preference shares and goodwill
Ensure covenant compliance with compliance forecasting based on future budget and forecast requirements
Responsibility for the main operational banking platforms
Maintaining operational banking relationships
RCF drawdowns
FX Treasury management
VAT compliance – Manage all UK and overseas tax including VAT, Corporation Tax PAYE and NI to HMRC

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
The person we are looking for will be able to demonstrate the following key attributes through their experiences to date:-
Candidate Qualities
·Qualified accountant with audit background
·Experience of Group consolidations
·Experience of both IFRS and FRS 102
·Highly proficient in Excel
·Strong analytical skills
·Able to work to tight deadlines
·Can match the company values whilst also displaying the required level of independence and integrity for a senior finance role
·Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced environment and can facilitate change
·Problem solver not a trouble shooter
