We are currently working with a thriving & innovative business based in Harrogate who have a rare opportunity for a driven Assistant Management Accountant to support and drive performance across all aspects of month end and management account preparation.

The Assistant Management Accountant will be one of two, also working alongside a Management Accountant and reporting directly to a Senior Management Accountant; primarily producing monthly Accounts including assisting with reviews and producing property reports for specifically assigned properties and support functions.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

* Creation and Posting of Monthly Journals
* Production of Month End Sales Recharges
* Creation and Posting of Monthly Prepayments and Accruals
* Creation and Reconciliation of Fixed Assets
* Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Production of Monthly Property P&L Packs
* Bank Account Reconciliations
* Utility Invoices, Payments and Analysis
* Assisting in the Budget Process
* Navision Administration
* Primary Contact for Internal Accounting Queries
* Developing Inter Relationships/Understandings with the Client facing Accounting Functions
* Gain a good understanding of the AR/AP functions to provide holiday/sickness cover, if required
* Any Other Ad-Hoc Project work including process improvements

To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-

* Good general standard of education
* AAT qualified / Studying for Professional Qualification (CIMA/ACCA)
* 2-3 Years' experience in an Accounting/Finance function
* Good communicator and interpersonal skills
* Good organisational skills and can work in a methodical manner
* Time management skills
* Proven track record in all areas of accounts
* Full driving licence and use of own vehicle
* Experience with Payroll
* Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Excel skills are key in this role)
