My client is a small, but ambitious multi academy trust based in the East London / Essex border.
With the addition of a new School to the Trust earlier this year, a vacancy has opened for a Finance Manager to work under the Director of Finance guidance in the central finance team. With further ambitious to add to the Trust in 2022, a motivated individual is sought to develop their finance career within the organisation.
The role focuses on:
• Management of the Trust’s finance systems, daily controls and processes.
• Responsibility for the production of timely and accurate management accounts, with commentary and variance analysis
• All financial reporting and statutory returns.
• Working alongside the Director of Finance to set and monitor the Trust’s budget and help shape ongoing finance strategy.
Applications are sought from candidates from a school, academy or charity background, with part or full accountancy qualifications. Management accounting experience and all associated reporting is key. You’ll enjoy the close working with school leaders, senior management and finance staff alike, able to offer advice and insight as required. You’ll be someone who enjoys the detail in the data, proving insightful information and reports to non finance people to help them make key decisions. You’ll enjoy improving controls and procedures and especially as the Trust grows, look to ensure that all current processes are as efficient and deliver the best financial insight as possible.
Farrer Barnes Ltd does not discriminate on the grounds of age, race, gender, disability, creed or sexual orientation and complies with all relevant UK legislation. Farrer Barnes Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
