My Client is a London based multi academy trust, looking for an experienced Finance Director to join the team in 2022.
This post offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic professional to join an established and ambitious Trust as they look to grow their schools under their stewardship into double figures in the next 12 months.
The Finance Director will provide leadership and management of all aspects of finance, guiding the central finance team. As a key member of the Executive Team, the FD will play an important part in setting the direction of strategic development alongside the COO, to include regular reporting to the Board of Trustees and the production of high quality reports to underpin senior decision makers. The FD will track funding and legislative changes and be responsible for the operational line management of the finance function and managing all the financial accounting and transactional finance for the MAT. As the Trust evolves, part of the brief will be to assess the current finance provision to ensure the best process and procedures are in place.
The FD will drive change within the finance operation of the Trust, bringing greater efficiency in the way the Trust uses services, products and supplies. In the current financial climate supporting schools to maximise income generation will be an important part of the role.
Applications are sought from qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACCA) accountants, with experience of working within Academy Finance. This is initially a 6 -12 month contract, with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent role, but professional interims who just want to consider this role as a contract position are welcomed to apply. This role could also be biased towards remote working, with 1 -2 days based at any number of London based schools within the Trust and the rest worked from home.
Farrer Barnes Ltd does not discriminate on the grounds of age, race, gender, disability, creed or sexual orientation and complies with all relevant UK legislation. Farrer Barnes Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
