Trainee Management Accountant

The Company - Axon Moore are recruiting a Trainee Management Accountant for a well-established and growing Tech company based in Manchester City Centre. Since incorporation, they have gone from strength to strength and have worked hard to establish an excellent experience for all employees and customers. They are now seeking an ambitious Graduate or AAT candidate who is keen to learn in the role and pursue CIMA.

About the role - The purpose of this role is to learn in the role while studying CIMA. The business will offer excellent training and exposure to international growth and acquisitions, making it the ideal opportunity on the route to qualification. The role offers a clear progression path for a Trainee Management accountant to become an exam qualified Management Accountant as well as gaining the practical hands-on experience needed to thrive in their Finance career.

Salary & Benefits - £20-25k depending on experience and qualification, full CIMA study support with study leave, 32 days holiday plus birthday and bank holidays, pension, health benefits, social events, City Centre offices.

Main Duties

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Revenue recognition
• Preparing the monthly Profit & Loss with variance analysis
• Assisting with Group consolidation
• Running customer credit checks
• Liaising with commercial finance on monthly revenue
• Preparing Departmental packs and attending meetings
• Reviewing and updating the daily cash-flow
• Weekly cash email with reconciliation of differences
• Producing/submitting the VAT return
• Assisting with ad-hoc Finance projects
• Dealing with audit requests and queries
• You will be the Finance Manager’s right hand providing support in the day-to-day finance operations and processes whilst ensuring the efficient delivery of finance information. This will give you the practical experience needed to succeed in your CIMA studies as well as giving you the tools needed to progress within the business.
• You will be representing the finance team at Sorted and will have to manage the expectations of stakeholders whilst delivering on your objectives.

Person specification

• Prior experience in an accounting role
• Knowledge of finance systems
• Excellent keyboard skills to produce accurate and well-presented reports
