Resourcery Group are working exclusively with a high growth business based in Stockport as they look to hire a Finance Manager. This is a newly created role due to growth.
The Finance Manager will join a successful and well-respected finance team during an exciting time when the business has won a number of new contracts and is forecasting further growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a well rounded accounting professional looking to work for a dynamic and forward thinking business.
About the role:
Based in Stockport (hybrid working available), The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing timely and relevant financial reports, ensuring information from different sources of the business is obtained to ensure timely accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and senior management to drive business performance.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Finance Manager:
  • Monthly and ad hoc accurate management information reports and management of month end procedures
  • Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Payroll preparation and reporting
  • Assist in the Annual Statutory Audit
  • Conduct margin analysis
  • Monitor relevance and accuracy of the different sources of information
  • Manage the monthly closing of the General Ledger ensuring the financial data accuracy
  • Assist in the yearly budget preparation
  • Review of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance of policies and procedures
Skills and experience required to be our Finance Manager:
  • Qualified through ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Management accounting / finance management experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Employee management and development
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Proven ability to understand key business drivers and how to translate these into meaningful reporting
  • Experience of budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
