Management Accountant

Based: Swinton

Salary: highly dependent on experience + bonus + benefits

Hybrid working home/office - (3 days office, 2 days home weekly) Hours: 8-4 (some flex on start/finish time)

Our client is a leading service provider based in the Swinton area. They offer services across multiple divisions throughout the North of England and are extremely well known and respected in their industry. Having recently been acquired by a large, national provider it is an exciting time to join the business in a pivotal role offering a large amount of autonomy - an excellent step for a part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant. The parent company can offer opportunities across the group for progression in the future.

Role:

  • Direct report - Assistant Accountant
  • Producing monthly management accounts for multiple North West sites
  • Consolidating site results, group reporting and discussing with Group FC for review
  • Monthly management account analysis ensuring all branch P&Ls are completed
  • Providing weekly business analysis for various branches on performance
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Annual budget preparation with the Financial Controller
  • Maintaining fixed asset register and regular payroll journal analysis
  • Adhering to RTI guidelines set out by HMRC
  • Credit card statement analysis and postings
  • Posting bank transactions with monthly bank reconciliation
  • Authorising supplier BACS payments whilst adhering to payment terms
  • Working with the wider finance team to ensure a smooth month and year end

Experience:

  • Experience of monthly management accounts is essential
  • Part-qualified or newly qualified Accountant
  • Group consolidation experience would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
  • Proficient on Excel and strong communication skills
  • Able to work as part of a team, ideally with experience of managing staff
