Commercial Finance Analyst (Part Qualified CIMA) | Near Preston | £30,000 - £40,000 + benefits

The Opportunity

Award winning PE-backed business based near Preston have a newly created opportunity for a part qualified commercial analyst / finance analyst. 

You will ideally be studying toward CIMA and be looking to become qualified in the next year or so.  Your role has a small element of management accounting but the main focus is added value project accounting and analysis. 

You’ll be looking at a range of added value activities – developing reporting, MI and KPI packs that provide insightful summaries around current business performance and key trends. 

You’ll work with marketing, sales, supply chain and operational teams to provide better visibility in terms of where money is being spent, where profit is being achieved, what could be improved and what is working well. 

Your financial awareness, commercial acumen and analytical ability will help answer the big questions:

In simple terms your analysis and business partnering will help answer:

• What should we being doing more of 
• What should we do less of 
• What should we be doing differently 
• What are we doing amazingly 
• What do we need to start doing  

There is MASSIVE scope for progression here – the business directors are looking for future leaders who can genuinely contribute to the exciting success that is planned. 

You need to be:

• Studying toward CIMA / ACA with a track record of achievement in a management accounting or analytical role 
• Naturally inquisitive and highly proactive
• A team player with excellent communication skills 
• Someone looking to fast track their career
• Professional, intelligent, commercially aware and interested in business. 

It’s a superb role for someone with analytical / accounting skills but an interest in moving into a more commercial direction.
