Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Analyst - Real Estate - OUR CLIENT is a successful international investment and development company with commercial and residential assets under management in the UK and Europe. The business is constantly growing and has recently acquired new developments in London. As a result of this continued expansion and with ambitious growth plans ahead, the client is now looking to hire a professionally qualified Accountant to in their London team and support their Finance Manager.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing support on Group and Investors Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining Financial control and supporting key financial processes including invoicing, business expenses and banking.
  • Liaising with back-office to support financial month and year end close, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS and IFRS).
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and audit processes.
  • Being proactive in partnering with accountants and treasurers.
  • Overseeing VAT quarterly and monthly returns.
  • Assisting with the preparation of Management and Board Reporting requirements.
  • Assisting with the preparation of quarterly updates for different lenders.
  • Supporting accounting of the transaction and operations set up.
  • Leading monthly drawdown process to finance project costs.
  • Preparing and maintaining cash flow for both the management and proprietary companies.
  • Participating in process improvements and develop efficiencies whilst ensuring strong internal control environment.
  • Maintaining and updating Financial Models on a monthly basis.
  • Supporting transaction underwriting for diverse capital sources.
  • Providing support on refinancing and recapitalization processes.

THE PERSON: To apply, you will be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years of post-graduated experience ideally within real estate (development preferred). The role will be most suited to someone who previously worked in a finance role in the property sector and who has strong analytical and reporting skills. The client offers plenty of growth potential and exposure to a wide range of financial and reporting responsibilities, as well as to key relevant financial processes such as book-keeping, tax, invoicing, and accounting. It is essential that the candidate is a confident communicator with fluent English as expected to build and maintain the ongoing relationship with lenders and investors. It would be advantageous if you have German language skills but not a pre-requite. This is an extremely interesting role with commercial exposure and lots of growth potential.
