Finance Manager

Tilmanstone Kent

£50,000 + suite of benefits (bonus, healthcare, pension, 33 days holiday, etc)

Are you a versatile finance professional looking to join one of the regions largest and most well established groups?

You’ll be finance manager for a thriving subsidiary of an award winning and expanding FTSE 250 Group.  It’s an extremely varied role within a manufacturing group with a constant focus on improvement initiatives and added value projects.

Your focus is a balance of financial accounting and control, management accounting, business interaction and varied reporting (managing a team of 2).

It’s a dynamic business and a welcoming and enthusiastic finance team.  You’ll be someone confident and calm in your approach with the ability to coach and mentor others.

In a nutshell the remit will include:

Weekly performance reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, cash reporting, group reporting, P&L analysis, forecasting, providing commentary, stakeholder / costs centre support and partnering.

You’ll be someone with a solid baseline of core accounting / financial reporting skills able to instill robust controls and accurate numbers.  You’ll also be someone with a  high degree of common sense and commercial awareness.  You’ll have plenty of interaction with colleagues across the business and peers at other sites / regions of the group.

You’ll either be someone recently qualified and looking for progression (the group can offer major scope to expand your career both in the UK and overseas potentially) or you will be someone who has ‘been there seen it and done it’ looking for a challenging role within a business that can offer major security, a great culture and plenty of variety.

The business is in excellent shape and it is a fast paced manufacturing environment that people enjoy working in.  It’s a highly innovative group where there is constant strive for improvement – it would suit someone who loves making a difference and being part of ongoing projects.

You need:

  • To be qualified ideally (ACCA / ACA or equivalent).
  • To have a very firm baseline of core accounting / financial control skills – you will ideally have spend time as financial accountant / finance manager in another complex business.
  • A can do attitude and a proactive approach to finding a solution and improving processes.
  • People skills! It’s a great team and you need to be someone who will enjoy working closely with colleagues across the whole business – factory, commercial, operational and finance / head offices areas.
