Senior Financial Accountant
Resourcery Group are working exclusively with a high growth business based in Stockport as they look to hire a Senior Financial Accountant. This is a newly created role due to growth.
The Senior Financial Accountant will join a successful and well-respected finance team during an exciting time when the business has won a number of new contracts and is forecasting further growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a well rounded accounting professional looking to work for a dynamic and forward thinking business.
About the role:
Based in Stockport (hybrid working available), The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing timely and relevant financial reports, ensuring information from different sources of the business is obtained to ensure timely accounts. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Director and senior management to drive business performance. The team is a small but commercially focussed, forward thinking and interacts with all the operational teams, customers and vendors. The role offers to opportunity to be truly involved in business operations.
The interaction with the business is key. The successful candidate will receive full support but will be expected to work under their own initiative. Personal motivation and organisational skills are essential.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant:
- Month-end and preparation of monthly management accounts
- Year end audit and tax pack completion
- Reconciling and processing intercompany charges
- Preparing and posting journals to the general ledger
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining data in central company databases
- Testing and evaluating improvements of central company databases
- Preparation of weekly cash flow forecast
- Supporting continued development of finance team members
- Continuous improvement to in all areas of financial control and reporting
- Ad-hoc projects to support the financial controller and wider Finance team
Skills and experience required to be our Senior Financial Accountant:
- Qualified through ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Employee management and development
- Experience in process improvement
- Proven ability to understand key business drivers and how to translate these into meaningful reporting
- Experience of budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
