Finance Manager

This successful business provides vital services to a European customer base and as part of a large group they are financially stable and poised for further growth. Recent investment in new technologies and a reputation for innovation has enabled them to attract and retain a leadership team of industry specialists who have ambitious plans for the future. As part of this process they are keen to recruit a Finance Manager who can work closely with the Group Head of Finance and ultimately progress to a Financial Controller position for a £20-£25m business unit. This role therefore offers excellent prospects for the right candidate in a supportive environment. Your key duties will include:

• Producing the monthly management accounts
• Financial reporting to group
• Cashflow forecasting and management
• Overseeing credit control, sales & purchase ledger
• Financial modelling and KPI analysis
• Management of a small finance team
• Control of company banking and credit checking
• Responsible for VAT and HMRC compliance
• Processing multi-currency payments
• Management of the audit and year end
• Full liaison with external advisers

A key part of this role will be maintaining a financial control environment, spotting weaknesses and developing solutions. A keen eye for process improvement and automation to improve efficiency will therefore be essential. The ideal candidate could be part or fully qualified or QBE, the main thing they are looking for is someone willing to take ownership of the finance function and become a valued member of the management team driving the business forward.
