Assistant Finance Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join this expanding manufacturing organisation in this newly created position. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will take overall responsibility for two of the group subsidiaries and provide support for the main operating company. Main responsibilities will include: Overseeing the accuracy of the purchase and sales ledgers and credit functions; multiple multi-current bank reconciliations; balance sheet reconciliations; accruals, prepayments and journals; VAT returns; Intrastat and EC sales lists; payroll processing; monitoring cashflows and variance analysis; maintenance of the fixed assets register and assisting with the group month-end close. Being a manufacturing business, you will also be involved in product and job costings, inventory auditing and regular stock checks.
As an individual you will demonstrate a progressive and stable career path to date, preferably with exposure to a manufacturing environment. You will have experience of mentoring others and have a strong attention to detail. You will be self-motivated and proactive with excellent inter-personal skills and a great team player.
