Part-Time FD (E-Commerce Sector)

Part-Time FD (E-Commerce Sector) | 8 days per month (Remote-Based) | £500-700 per day

Our client is an early stage online retailer who is looking for a Part-Time Finance Director for circa 8 days per month. The founder has had previous successful exits and is now investing in several start-up businesses.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Producing financial models and forecasts
• Organising funding
• Setting up systems, processes and controls
• Financial planning & budgeting
• Appropriate tax planning and compliance in line with accounting requirements.
• Develop and implement monthly procedures and automation where possible
• Lead and build the finance function
• Financial due diligence for acquisitions
• Ensuring the provision of appropriate financial information e. Monthly management reporting to the board, rolling forecasts, cashflow projections etc.
• Identify key risks and opportunities.
• Ability to act as a business partner to the CEO
• Manage relations with investors, company bankers and other relevant third parties and stakeholders

Skills and experience required:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA)
• A proven track record in a finance leadership role
• Experience within e-commerce would be desirable
• You will be comfortable in working autonomously with the capability to build a finance function in a high-growth business
• You will be hands on and happy to get into the detail but also have the ability to contribute at Board level offering your strategic and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
• A strong team player, you will be comfortable working with people at all levels both strategic and operationally.

This role will be an initial interim assignment on a day rate and would suit a established portfolio FD with experience of E-commerce. The day rate on offer is commensurate upon experience.
