Graduate Finance Assistant

The Company

Axon Moore are recruiting a Graduate Finance position for a very well established and exciting company based in Middleton. Established 15 years ago, they have grown hugely and are still looking to grow the team. They are now seeking an ambitious Finance Graduate with a strong academic background who is keen to learn in the role and study CIMA.

About the Role

This role is predominately transactional sales ledger based including control checks and reconciliations, ensuring that information is accurate and current. The role will give all round exposure to transactional accounting and will develop further as you study CIMA.

 Salary - £21,000 plus full CIMA study support

 Job Duties

• Integrate daily sales data into accounting system
• Integrate remittance and cash data into accounting system
• Investigate failed integrations
• Process any manual sales invoices, returns and cash  as part of account reconciliation
• Query resolution engaging with internal and external stakeholders
• Produce and distribute weekly debtor report
• Maintain relationships with key clients
• Input bank transactions, posting bank transactions and manage cash balances, being the business contact with the bank for day-to-day queries.
• Month end sales ledger reconciliation process
• Month end inter-company reconciliations
• Assist with other month end procedures and reconciliations, adhering to strict deadlines
• Assist with weekly reporting to strict deadlines.
• Assist with ad hoc year end work including audit queries
• Provide cover and support within wider finance team
• Ad-hoc work as assigned#

• 2:1 or above University degree
• Ability to prioritise workloads and achieve tight deadlines working in a high pressure environment
• Excellent IT literacy, ideally with strong excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to communicate with finance and non-finance colleagues
• Ability to be flexible within the role
• Manage high volumes of transactions
• Ability to be flexible within the role
• Understanding of accounting principles (desirable)
