  • To provide the business with insightful analysis to drive profitability, including financial and operational analysis, to design, produce and improve standard monthly and ad hoc reports, implementing dashboard reporting.
  • To prepare and present relevant reporting packs for the business, attending meetings as required to explain the monthly performance, support with KPIs, and lead forecasting and budgeting.
  • To support Business Unit heads  in their preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews and Divisional Board meetings.
  • To challenge business assumptions in budgeting, forecasting and business planning and take a key role in support the budgeting and forecasting process, developing a more responsive budgeting system that is aligned to strategic plans and delivers improved bottom line performance.
  • To support the delivery of all contracts via monitoring income and expenditure and controlling balance sheet adjustments. To provide service pricing, cash and margin optimisation recommendation ensuring an acceptable balance of risk and returns.
  • To develop customer relationships to successfully contribute to commercial and financial negotiations.
  • To ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance, and business financial plans & budgets.
  • To support the financial elements of tender submissions via review and analysis.
  • To ensure accurate spreadsheets and data files are maintained and updated, producing accurate and timely analysis of financial data.
  • To lead the continuous improvement of financial processes including automation and developing best practices

To build strong group wide relationships with internal and external partners and actively contribute to senior management forums. As the financial expert, to effectively influence to ensure decisions are made in the knowledge of the full financial impact on the business, including financial risks and sensitivities.

 

The role would suit a qualified accountant with true drive and the ability to interact with non-finance
