Your new firm
A well established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Blackburn are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / AAT / QBE) to join the firm as a Portfolio Manager and take ownership of a portfolio of clients within the firm. This opportunity has arisen to help manage their succession plans. Both part time and full time hours will be considered for this role.

Your new role
As a Portfolio Manager you will work with a varied client base consisting of sole traders, partnerships, SMEs and larger limited companies requiring an audit. With this portfolio you will be responsible for allocating and reviewing work of junior staff, preparing statutory accounts and the relevant corporate and personal tax affairs, assisting with ad hoc projects such as cashflows and attend / lead client meetings. There is also the opportunity to add some audit work into your portfolio if this is of interest.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are ideally seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) however AAT / QBE applications will also be considered. You must live locally to Blackburn and have experience of working in a general practice with a good grounding in both accounts and tax work. As you will have some portfolio management responsibilities you must be able to show good communication and organisational skills during interview.

As a Portfolio Manager you will receive a competitive salary of up to £40000 dependent on experience and qualification. Other benefits will include 25 days holiday, free parking on site and a relaxed working environment. There is scope to progress to partnership for the right individual and both part time or full time hours will be considered.
