Job Description

Purpose of role:

Accurate processing of client's financial data and the preparation of statutory and management accounts and associated outputs, within the time frame agreed with the client or required by statute, working within our Business Outsourcing Services team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review of the work of more junior members of the team (dependent upon the successful candidate's experience)
  • Maintaining client relationships with own portfolio of clients and responsibility for compliance deadlines
  • Preparation of more complex annual financial statements, including statutory accounts, partnership accounts and sole trader accounts for tax purposes
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for clients
  • Project work relating to the set-up of cloud accounting platforms and other add-on applications; including transition of information from old to new platforms
  • Prepare and/or review quarterly VAT/EC Sales list returns from information supplied by clients
  • Responsibility for own preparation portfolio of clients

Candidate Profile

Education/Qualifications:

  • Strong academic history
  • Completed AAT qualification or equivalent
  • Within the final stages of studying towards ACCA/ACA or fully qualified
  • Evidence of suitable work experience in a practice environment (minimum 3-4 years)

Key Experience/Skills:

  • Prior experience of cloud and desktop accounting packages is required as well as knowledge of the cloud eco-system
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider high performing team
  • Results orientated to meet and exceed client expectations, with a key focus on delivering high quality work that consistently meets client deadlines
