Hamilton Woods Qualified Search is supporting a large property developer that is looking to appoint a Commercial Finance Analyst/Finance Business Partner within their Milton Keynes operation. This is a perfect opportunity for an accountant looking for the opportunity to get into the true operations of a business. It would be advantageous if you have previous experience working in construction businesses and or have experience improving operational costs within large companies.
DUTIES:
Act as a Business Partner to provide financial support to the Regional Operations Director/ Other Department Heads.
Manage the financial and management reporting process for the division.
Take the lead role in the review and control of the integrity of financial reporting
Prepare the weekly and monthly cash flow forecast providing variance analysis.
Preparation of monthly profit forecast and annual budget.
Assist in the preparation of the main board pack and ad-hoc management information requests for the Divisional CEO / DFD / Regional Operations Directors and Group Finance Team.
Financial modelling to support business decisions.
Support the delivery of new IT initiatives to improve current systems and processes.
Prepare technical accounting papers/ notes for the Partnership North business.
Liaising with other senior accounting personnel to ensure consistent accounting policies and principles are being applied in the preparation of financial information.
Improve financial control and reporting processes.
Key interface with the external audit team.
Ad-hoc project work.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
ACA / ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with a minimum of 2/3 years PQE.
Strong technical acumen with a good understanding of IFRS.
Effective communicator both with finance and non-finance professionals.
Strong report writing skills with the ability to express financial results articulately across all levels.
Knowledge of ERP / Microsoft Dynamics advantageous
