Working EXCLUSIVELY with our client - an engineering firm based in Leicestershire - we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for producing accurate & timely financial information (incl. monthly management accounts, forecasts & reconciliations) and providing key support to the Commercial Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
*Producing monthly re-forecasts & annual budgets of the prescribed businesses,
*Month-end balance sheet reconciliations,
*Prepare & report on key variances in the monthly accounts, forecasts & budgets, comparing to latest forecast, budget & prior years when preparing the reports for key stakeholders,
*Produce KPIs for the businesses,
*Build relationships with MD / department heads to ensure a solid understanding of the businesses,
*Uploading actuals & budgets into the relevant ledgers in Sage 50,
*Communicating with customers making sure payment dates are met,
*Improving systems surrounding all aspects of the month-end process, budgets & forecasts,
*To work as a team to ensure timetable is met and the regular reports are distributed to relevant management,
*Reconciling the companies finance banking account,
*Managing the outsource of 3rd party bookkeeper team, who will support you with delivery of sales ledger information,
*Complete the monthly payroll (circa 20 employees),
*Complete HMRC returns for CIS Scheme,
*Monthly VAT return.
The Right Person
*Part OR fully-qualified ACCA, CIMA, AAT OR qualified by experience,
*Management accounting experience in industry within a busy accounts dept, incl. producing month-end management accounts,
*Experienced with journals, forecasting, reconciliations & budgeting
*Effective communication skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
*Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team within a large organisation,
*Excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills,
*Strong IT skills incl. Sage 50 & advanced MS Excel.
