Head of Group Finance – North London

Cognisant Search has been instructed to appoint a Head of Group Finance on behalf of a highly respected business operating in the Residential Development sector. They have gone through a recent restructure in order to facilitate exciting growth strategies and are now looking to recruit a Head of Group Finance to help drive these ambitious plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to the CFO and leading a significant finance team responsible for financial accounting, financial shared services & treasury management
• Ensuring appropriate financial controls, processes and systems are in place and constantly striving to improve these
• Managing, leading, and developing the finance team to deliver high quality financial information and reports
• Managing the audit process and ensuring the accurate and timely production of all statutory accounts
• Acting as a key leader on specific change projects in order to drive improvements within the finance team
• Liaising with third parties and advisors including banks, suppliers, auditors, and tax advisors

With impressive plans to grow the business, the Central Finance function is key to achieving these goals. We are seeking to appoint a technically focused financial controller with ambitions to progress in the medium term into a Finance Director role. You will be a qualified, chartered accountant with significant, industry based, post qualification experience and an excellent knowledge of statutory and operational accounting.
