Elevation Recruitment Group are currently supporting a well-established manufacturing business based in the Bradford area as they look to expand their team further and appoint a Part Qualified, Assistant Financial Accountant to support with the delivery of monthly financial reporting to the Business.
This is a great opportunity to join at a time of rapid growth. The successful candidate will be working closely with the Senior Management Accountant to provide group wide-cash flow forecasting and support treasury management. This is an exciting and progressive opportunity for someone to play a key role in the business where you will need to roll up your sleeves and really get stuck in.
Duties of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:
* Assist with year-end audit procedures
* Assist with cash flow forecasting across more than 20 entities
* Track FX movements alongside cash flow forecasting and recommend when do to FX transfers
* Assist with the preparation of tax returns and provide data to external tax consultants
* Prepare bank reporting, including covenant compliance
* Support the preparation of the year end statutory accounts
* Posting intercompany invoices
* Support annual insurance renewal
* Posting and allocating bank receipts and bank payments
* Bank reconciliations
* Assist with controlling the fixed asset register and posting depreciation
* Post accounting journals, particularly at month end
* Balance sheet reconciliations
To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:
* Previous Accounts Assistant, or similar, experience
* Relevant qualification (i. Part-AAT / Degree)
* Lateral thinker and problem solver
* Cash flow forecasting experience
* Working knowledge of accounting systems
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (i. V-Lookups, Pivots etc.)
* Minimum Grade A-C in GSCE English & Maths
* Effective communicator - able to discuss queries or issues with key stakeholders at all levels of the business
* Ambitious. Wants to progress
