A global services business is looking to appoint a new Group Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent contract. Working out of the Leeds-based office, the Group Financial Controller will report directly to the CFO and act as part of the Senior Finance Leadership team.

The Role

These responsibilities fall to the Group Financial Controller:

• Taking responsibility for Accounting, Financial Control, Taxation, and Statutory Financial Reporting for all entities in the UK and Europe.
• In Financial Accounting: annual financial statement production and the management of the external audit process.
• In Financial Control: maintaining financial control framework to ensure accuracy of monthly financial books and records, as well as quarterly certification to parent company.
• Quarterly presentation of enterprise balance sheet review to parent company stakeholder group.
• In Corporation Tax: working with advisors to ensure timely and accurate CT returns are completed, whilst ensuring payments to HMRC are made on time.
• In Sales Tax (VAT): ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely returns are completed and that HMRC payments are made on time.
• Delivery of accurate monthly financial accounts and reporting, within the required deadlines.
• Taking ownership of the consolidation of results for month-end submission to the parent company.
• Onboarding acquisitions into areas of existing responsibility.
• Managing the annual statutory audit and accounts process, as well as additional regulatory audit processes.
• Handling management of accounting systems and financial process governance.

About You

To be considered for this position, you should have the following profile:

• ACA qualified, or equivalent.
• Experience gained in a large practice or a professional services environment.
• Capable of providing insight and applying accounting standards in a commercial environment, enabling the executive team to make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits

The successful Group Financial Controller will be offered a salary in the region of £80,000 - £90,000 per annum. They will also receive various executive benefits alongside this, for a highly competitive package.
