Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a successful and well-respected business in Hull as they look to recruit a new Management Accountant for the team.

The purpose of the role is to provide accurate month end financial reporting along with analysis and insight, as well as having the desire to continually help with developing systems and processes across the department.

Working closely with the Finance Director and Financial Controller, key duties will include:

*Preparation and management of the day-to-day financial information that leads to and supports the weekly reporting and monthly management accounts.
*Preparation of the weekly Flash accounts, together with variance analysis and understanding of performance.
*Preparation of monthly management accounts, and monthly reporting packs, together with a review of month end results and analysis/interrogation of variances to budget/forecast and weekly sales report.
*Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules to support the management accounts, including the intercompany trading and funding balances.
*Monthly VAT returns, and other regulatory submission requirements.
*Management of weekly bank reconciliations, weekly cash reporting and support the FC in preparing short term cashflow forecasts.
*Monthly customer rebate calculations and submissions.
*Provide support the FC with monthly finance forecasting and annual budgeting process.
*Support the FC to ensure internal controls are in place, adhered to and support to help drive system improvements.
*Develop a good understanding of the business & working relationship with all stakeholders to build the knowledge and skills to support all areas.
*Ad-hoc financial analysis as required to support the FC, business, and commercial teams.

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*Full or part qualified CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA
*2-3+ years' experience in a similar role
*Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
*Knowledge of Sage is desirable although not essential
*Adaptable/Can do attitude
*Strong discipline for achieving targets and deadlines
*Able to respond at short notice to operational requests
*Flexibility and ability to prioritise own workload
*Good communication skills
*Able to meet the demands of a fast moving business
*Able to work equally well individually and as part of a team
*Able to influence other parties to achieve the required goals
