Assistant Group Financial Controller

A complex, international group are seeking to appoint a Deputy Group Financial Controller to play a key role in leading the Group finance team. This individual will be responsible for managing the accounting and external financial reporting of the Group, be responsible for the group treasury and cash flow forecasting including managing liquidity across the Group and its subsidiaries, as well as be involved in any capital restructuring programmes. The successful individual will be the technical and management lead on the successful transition of group accounting to US GAAP whilst maintaining IFRS, as well being a key player in ensuring SOx compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Consolidation of the complex, international Group including management of all of the international stakeholder relationships
• Advise on all judgmental and new accounting areas
• Manage the group audit process and audit relationship
• Maintain the robust control environment including Sox compliance
• Lead weekly cash flow forescasting and liquidity management across the Group
• Support the CFO, and the Group Financial Controller on strategically important projects
• Lead and motivate a 3 person team

The successful candidate will be:

• ACA trained, and have worked across international clients most likely during big 4 training
• Familiar with IFRS
• Comfortable operating in a complex, international environment
