Management Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently supporting a fantastic owner managed manufacturing business based near Sutton Coldfield who are recruiting for a qualified (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) or qualified by experience accountant to join them as Management Accountant.

The job will report to the Finance Manager and will work closely with all other members of the finance team to produce accurate management accounts, in return the post offers progression, flexibility and a competitive package.

Key Duties, Management Accountant, £45,000, Sutton Coldfield

• Preparation of the management accounts
• Analysis of sales and purchase ledgers
• Self-bill reconciliations
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Payroll Postings
• Allocation of material & timesheets to tooling projects
• Maintain and reconcile all monetary control accounts - GBP and Euro cashbooks, petty cash and credit cards
• Assist in the preparation of reporting pack with analysis of variances
• Control the company credit card system - applications, credit limit maintenance, statements, maintain approval of receipts and post to ledger
• Assist in the preparation of audit files and liaise with audit team on relevant topics for your role
• Control the analysis and reconciliation of all payroll deduction control accounts for all group companies and liaise with payroll where necessary
• Maintain intercompany loan accounts
• Assist with quarterly stocktakes

Key Skills/Experience, Management Accountant, Sutton Coldfield, £45,000

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience of producing management accounts or extensive qualified by experience knowledge
• Have strong technical accounting skills
• Have strong system skills, especially in MS Excel. Knowledge of Sage Line 1000 would also be an advantage
• Be able to work to tight deadlines
• Be capable of working on your own
