Head of Compliance

A successful global financial services business with offices in 24 countries.

Your new role
This role is responsible for all compliance and regulatory requirements. The role will analyse, assess and develop compliance standards and evaluate commercial risks.
To ensure that adequate internal controls are maintained. Identify the risk of non-compliance within the regulatory environment and establishing, monitoring and adherence policies, procedures and controls. This role will also be responsible for risk reporting to the Board and Group. To contribute to management and board discussions regarding the operations of the business and provide input on the development of the strategic business plan.

Accountabilities
1. Overseeing the regulatory control framework and risk environment.
2. Acting as the 2nd Line in the 3 lines of defence model and completing appropriate and timely Assurance Reviews to identify areas of non-compliance and escalate to the Executive for remediation.
3. Owning the Regulatory Change Pipeline end to end, ensuring ongoing compliance with Regulation, Legislation and Statutes.
4. Assume the role of MLRO
5. Overseeing the firm's corporate governance framework and ensure the Executive and Board meet to discharge their responsibilities as defined by Terms of Reference, managing inputs and outputs to the respective meetings.
6. Overseeing the firm's Risk Management Framework and Control Environment
7. Working as part of the Executive and Board teams, representing the interests of the compliance department, and contributing to matters of corporate strategy and the running of the firm.



What you'll need to succeed
At least 2-5 years leadership experience.
To have worked as a Head of compliance or Senior Compliance manager is a recent role.
Experience of presenting board reports.
Ability to manage a small team.
