Capital Accounting Manager position working for a major housing association in central London.
Client Details
The organisation is one of the largest housing associations in the UK and currently has the biggest property development pipeline in the social housing sector. The organisation is seeking to expand and is in the process of hiring multiple heads into its growing finance team.
Description
The Capital Accounting Manager is accountable for the maintenance and development of the Asset Register system, updating the general ledger in respect of updates (additions, disposals, grants, depreciation, amortisation and revaluation reserve movements) and the accurate allocation of costs and VAT to the applicable tenures of development schemes.
Assets under management in A4000 and development schemes totalled £4 at 31st March 2021. The role will provide technical support as well as produce management and financial accounts for different areas of the business.
Profile
Key skills and experience:
- The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant or equivalent.
- High level of technical skills including knowledge of FRS102 and the Housing SORP.
- A competent team leader and task supervisor, with the ability to inspire teams to achieve the very best through instilling a performance management culture.
- Experience of preparing financial statements and associated notes and working papers.
- Ability to create positive relationships with finance and non-finance staff.
Job Offer
£58,000-£62,000, 10% pension
