Interim Group Reporting Accountant

This is a cover position providing support to the Group Financial Controller in completing all group reporting and month end tasks.

Description

The key responsibilities within this role are:

• Support & develop external Group & internal company reporting so that the company meets all Statutory and Group reporting deadlines
• Create and maintain daily and weekly cashflow reporting ensuring that the process is robust and easy for the team to update and report on a daily basis
• Assist the Group Financial Controller with audit & Statutory reporting, leading the process with our audit team, managing audit queries through to completion and providing clear documentation for review
• Work with the wider finance team to review all processes, document these fully with each team member and gain adequate cover so all single point of failures are removed
• Work collaboratively with the wider team on change initiatives

Profile

The successful candidate for this position will possess:

• A full and recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Previous experience in a Group reporting position
• Experience in accounting processes, systems, and techniques
• Ideally you will have significant experience with ERP and accounting software
• Ability to analyse and make recommendations, with the desire to drive system change and process improvements
• Good people management skills and be able to inspire and motivate the wider finance team to provide high quality financial information
