Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a prestigious firm in Sheffield as they look to recruit a Partner Accountant for either of their Sheffield or Leeds offices, which are both centrally located.

The Partner Accounting team are responsible for implementing the financial terms relating to partner capital contributions, profit sharing, drawings and distribution policies. You will have direct responsibility for the day to day delivery of partner accounting services for the partners within their international portfolio.

This list is not exhaustive and role will be extremely varied. Some of the duties will include:

- Appraising all new partner joiners (internal promotions and lateral hires)
- Communicating details of profit sharing arrangements, including explaining the firm's currency points profit sharing system and the income protection arrangements
- Advising partners of their capital contribution requirements, discussing the financing options available to them
- Ensuring the smooth administration of firm approved capital loan arrangements
- Calculating the amounts available for monthly drawings
- Advising partners and preparing and supplying copies of the calculations
- Implementing the physical payment arrangements
- Reconciling and reporting on partner accounting transactions and balances on capital and current accounts
- Incorporating final profit allocations
- Discussing and resolving any queries and agreeing final statements with local finance team
- Determining the balances available for distribution
- Authorising interim distributions (quarterly or bonuses)
- Forecasting partner cashflows, as part of annual budgeting process
- Providing input into short term (weekly) cash flow forecasts to assist the treasury manager in on-going cash management

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA qualified Accountant
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Have an analytical and logical approach plus a strong understanding of double entry accounting
- Ability to deal with stakeholders at any level
- A self-starter, who is able to work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team
- Ability to balance a high volume of work and deliver consistently high quality work under pressure
- Take the initiative to identify new opportunities and challenge established ways of doing things
- Possess strong IT skills, especially in Excel
- Knowledge of SAP accounting packages desirable but not essential
