A Top 100 firm of Chartered Accountants with offices across the North West are currently looking to appoint an ACCA / ACA part qualified or qualified accountant to join their Manchester team as an audit senior. This opportunity has arisen due to a relocation of a member of staff and is a great opportunity to join a tight knit team in which you can really develop your experience.

Your new role
As an Audit Senior you will work with a broad range of businesses, mainly in the OMB space but across a range of sectors for which you will be responsible for providing both accounting and auditing services to. Day to day you will be responsible for preparing and finalising statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and taking a lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will have staff supervision responsibilities, managing the audit juniors out on site and acting as a mentor to the trainees. Your role will be weighted around 50/50 audit to accounts.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking a part qualified or newly qualified ACA / ACCA accountant who has ideally trained within an independent firm and is looking to progress their career. You must have exposure to both audit assignments and accounts prep however your audit experience can be limited to 4-5 audits a year. As an audit senior you will have supervisory responsibilities and therefore you must be able to demonstrate good communication and organisation skills.
