Accountancy Practice - Outskirts of Preston - Portfolio Manager

Your new firm
You will be working within a large independent firm of chartered accountants who have been established for a number of years. Over the course of their tenure they have developed an excellent reputation for the services they provide and their client base has expanded due to this. Offering a range of accounting, tax, audit and payroll, they are now looking to add to their Longridge office and bring in an experienced Portfolio Manager.

Your new role
As Portfolio manager within this firm you will be responsible for c clients from an array of sectors inclusive of agriculture, service providers and hospitality to name but a few and turnovers of these clients range up to the £5Million mark. You will hold the relationship with the clients, dealing with an complex issues or queries and identifying opportunities for other services and development. This role will be hands on but also see you delegate and review work of junior colleagues and join in with appraisals and 1-1s

What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you must be ACA/ ACCA qualified and have had a number of years experience recently working in Practice. Up to date knowledge of UK tax legislation in regards to both personal and corporate tax is essential and ideally you will have had exposure to developing staff.

The firm are currently working on their hybrid strategy but flexible working is in operation and the chance to work from home a day a week is already in place. There is parking locally and you will be enrolled onto the firms pension scheme. The firm work 37 hours a week - 09:00 - 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 09:00 - 16:00 on a Friday. Paid overtime and TOIL are also in operation a the firm should the need arise.
