Resourcery Group are working in partnership with a brilliant PE backed business based near Liverpool as they look to recruit a new Group Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that has gone through a phenomenal phase of growth and continues to provide excellent returns for its investors and owners. 

Reporting directly into an impressive Group Financial Controller, you will play a lead role in managing a growing finance team. Your role will be well-rounded and hands on where you will lead, mentor and develop your team to really raise the bar and pioneer the best in working practices. Your team will be responsible for managing the full month end close for entities across the group, ensuring deadlines are met with high-quality and accurate finance information.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and develop the management accounts and AP teams
• Manage the month end close process ensuring accurate and complete reporting
• Review the month end management accounts
• Ensure integrity of the balance sheet and reconciliations are prepared and reviewed
• Develop a core finance manual
• Ensure a robust control environment is maintained
• Seek and implement process improvements and efficiencies
• Achieve month end close efficiencies leveraging off new system capabilities
• Preparation and review of year end audit schedules
• Ensure VAT returns are prepared and issued for review by Group Tax Manager in a timely manner
• Review regulatory reporting submissions and ensure accurate reporting and audit control is maintained
• Ensure full and accurate information is provide to the Group Tax Manager
• Ensure full and accurate information is provide to the Group Technical Accountant
• Liaise with the external auditors and ensure all queries responded to fully
• Support the Group Financial Controller on adhoc tasks
• Deputise for the Group Financial Controller as required

SKILLS

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience of working as a Finance Manager
• Ability to engage and motivate the team
