Your new company

Our client is a PE backed, early stage Medtech which is experiencing significant growth both organically and by acquisition. As a result of this growth they have created a new role of Financial Controller to support the Finance Director. The company operates internationally and is part of a wider group.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the UK finance function (currently two and soon to be four), providing support and assurances to the FD and the rest of the senior management team. You will provide effective, accurate and timely financial reporting along with appropriate recommendations to enable the company to make strategic and informed decisions. You will put in place effective controls, provide decision support, oversee business planning activities and assume responsibility for effective working capital management. You will also be business facing and will deliver excellent customer service that will augment effective relationships between the finance and operational teams. As number 2 to the FD you will actively plan and manage cash and take a lead on local and group audits.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with previous experience of running a finance function in a commercial business. You will have experience of managing financial control and financial planning and analysis and ideally worked in a multi-site geographically dispersed organisation. The role demands a hands on approach but alongside a strategic mindset and you will be self-starting and able to construct both a new role and integrate with a new group in a high growth company.

What you'll get in return

This broad, all encompassing Financial Controller role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and team and work with an exceptionally talented board.
