Senior Finance Analyst – Project / Costs Accounting

Our client, a respected Financial Services Group is seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Analyst to lead the management / analysis of programme budget / costs in the change & transformation office. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to play a critical role in a strategic, multi-year, digital transformation programme within this listed firm, which is also the largest financial investment during 2022.

Reporting to the Head of Transformation Office, the role will be responsible for managing the project costs and the financial analysis pertinent to the finances of the programme. This also involves checking & challenging the cost spend and forecasts, whilst also providing monthly spend analysis reports for an executive audience. This is a critical role within the transformation function but also involves working across functions including developing close working relationships within cost management, finance, transformation and delivery.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified, commercial, and at least a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience in financial analysis, in particular project / cost finance analysis. Ideally you should also be familiar with project and change initiatives, having tracked budgets and costs against expectations on similar change programmes. You should also be robust, hard-working, and willing to work within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment whilst also being a collaborative team player, ambitious and driven, with a positive can-do attitude.
