Two Senior Finance Business Intelligence Analyst public service roles based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Dundee.

Your new company

The finance team within a prestigious public service organisation are seeking two hands-on, innovative Senior Finance Business Intelligence Analysts to join their team in either Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Dundee. Dedicated to offering a challenging and diverse career to their workforce, they are looking for experienced candidates to undertake a six-month fixed-term contract -- July 2022.

Your new role

As a key member of the team you will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide effective management accounting. You will be engaged in ensuring compliance with organisational governance frameworks, and will deliver consistently clear financial analysis alongside robust planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.

Working with the wider Finance team, you will take responsibility for leading, directing, and managing key priorities within the organisation, supporting professional development, and contributing to the dynamic nature of the Business Intelligence function.

What you'll need to succeed

To ensure your success within this role, you will possess full CCAB qualification or equivalent qualification through significant experience. You will ideally have a background in cost management and business analysis within a large organisation and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. As well as having advanced IT and systems knowledge, including but not limited to Excel, Word and eFinancials, you will be capable of strong analytical thinking and demonstrate clear attention to detail.

In addition, it is preferred that you can give examples at interview of your:

  • Experience of financial reporting, planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Resilient and determined attitude
  • Confidence dealing with working relationships and senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Data Protection expectations
  • Commitment and ability to work collaboratively
