To provide specialist FP&A support to the monthly Group reporting, forecasting and planning processes, with an emphasis on controlling and system led reporting, and a close working relationship with Corporate Functions.

Description

  • Take the lead in ensuring corporate functions are properly managed from an accounting perspective, with appropriate cost controls. To include managing POs, accruals and prepayments
  • Responsible for business partnering specific Corporate functions as advised. To include provision of monthly reports, variance analysis and meetings to discuss results, and assistance with forecasts and longer term planning
  • Supporting the preparation of investor/board packs and leadership team presentations. In addition, where deemed appropriate, managing the preparation and distribution of operational reports, such as working capital
  • Take a lead in understanding and utilising reporting capabilities, and actively keep up to date with latest tools, such as BPC and PowerBI. Developing this responsibility to provide timely, accurate and efficient reporting, and at the same time utilising excellent Excel skill.
  • Provide support to the FP&A team in running the forecasting and budgeting processes, continually looking to improve the robustness of both process and data, and consequently the line of sight
  • Year-end financial audit support as appropriate
  • Managing the TSA process. Ensuring correct charges are received, and reverse TSA charges are issued
  • Provide cover for other members of the Group FP&A team, this will require a working knowledge of their activities
  • Actively adopt and apply the principles of our Group Strategy, efficient and flexible service delivery and innovation
  • Ad-hoc support and provision of data compilation and analysis as directed by Head of FP&A
  • To pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness
  • Undertake necessary documentation, data, administration and communication activities needed to successfully fulfil responsibilities.

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

  • Degree qualified with a management accounting / commercial accounting background; newly qualified accountant with experience of operating in an international finance function
  • Experience of ERP and MIS systems at the 'hands on' level (SAP ByDesign / BPC / PowerBI an advantage)
  • Budgeting & forecasting experience gained in a multinational business
  • An enthusiastic and committed team player who can establish and maintain strong relationships with business leaders and across the Finance teams
  • Have a 'hands on' approach, visible across the businesses with good communication and other interpersonal skills.
  • Able to engage at all levels across the business in a business partnering role
  • Adopts a solution based approach at all time, and is able to take the initiative and responsibility for completing tasks
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, attention to detail and a track record of meeting deadlines.
