A great opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join a market leading business based in Manchester City Centre (Hybrid Working).
You will be responsible for the day to day financial accounting, supporting the finance department and working closely with the Financial Controller.
Main Duties
- Providing commercial financial analysis to the Head of Finance
- Preparation of Group management accounts, for both external shareholders and internal stakeholders
- Management of 3 staff – including the development of 2 assistant management accountants
- Ensuring that all Balance sheet Reconciliations are performed monthly for the two entities
- Liaising with external auditors - processing year end schedules and analysis as required
- Assisting in the consolidation of the group consolidated management accounts
- Support and assist in US tax, both sales tax and corporation
- Preparation of VAT returns where required
- Partnering with the finance team and other internal stakeholders to prepare accurate cashflow forecasts
- Accounting for payroll across the Group
- Performance
- Assist the Head of Finance and the wider business with ad-hoc tasks as and when they arise
Person Specifications
- Qualified ACCA/CIMA
- Experience in a general accounts department and good understanding of double-entry book-keeping
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Have a desire to be part of a fast paced and high growth business
- Strong excel skills
The successful candidate has the potential to progress into a Finance Manager position within the next 2 years.
