Accountancy Practice - Bolton - Client Manager - Succession Planning

Your new firm
You will be working with a firm of accountants who have been established for over 30 years. Over this time they have built up an excellent reputation for their work and developed a wide ranging client base spanning construction, hospitality and service providers to name but a few. They offer a range of services to their client base inclusive of tax, payroll and accounts - they do not offer audit. they are now beginning to look at succession planning and so keen to appoint an experience Client Manager to the team to continue to the day to day running of the firm and enhance its offering moving forward.

Your new role
As a Client Manager with this firm, you will be responsible for managing the client base, ensuring all targets and deadlines are worked to. Delegation of work to the bookkeepers / semi seniors as well as reviewing their completed work will be a part of the role. This role will see you have a hands on approach with clients - dealing with complex technical questions as well as offering strategic business advice when required. You will identify areas of improvement and for other services not currently offered to clients as well.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you must be ACA/ ACCA qualified and have worked within a practice for a number of years. Prior experience of managing a client portfolio is advantageous and you must be up to date with the UK legislation in regards to both personal and corporate tax. Exposure to staff management would be beneficial and excellent communication skills are essential.
