he Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Finance and Operations Director, key responsibilities for the Financial Controller will be to oversee the Finance team of 5 staff, ensure timely production of all financial reporting, manage external and internal audits, and manage requirements of other departments for financial information.

Principal Accountabilities:

·Management of the Finance team, with line managerial responsibility for the Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, and Assistant Accountants in their relative areas - Accounts Receivable, Account Payable and Treasury, including objective setting for the team, performance management and one to ones.

·Coordinate production of consolidated weekly trading reporting, and month-end reporting, to required deadlines, and presenting results to Senior Management team, and Group Finance.

·Manage the annual external audit process, by liaising with the external audit team, and Group, to ensure timely delivery of all evidence as required by the auditors, and manage production of Financial Statements in readiness for signing.

·Manage ISO and regulatory audits, and group internal audits.

·Effective control of cash by working capital management and accurate, timely forecasting

·Ensure budgets and forecasts are prepared as per the deadlines required by Group.

·Ongoing control of budgets with production of periodic reports to budget holders and reviews during the financial year.

·Manage and foster relationships with other departments and Group to support requirements for financial information and liaising with departments for query resolution.

·Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes.

·Management and review of balance sheet items.

·Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.

·Ensuring monthly payroll is processed along with the required accounting, payroll payments and analysis, and liaising with the payroll manager or agency.

·Ad Hoc financial support on commercial propositions and contracts
