Group Finance ManagerSutton ColdfieldSalary 35-40KpaPerm - Full Time Our client is a highly acquisitive B2B business based in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a Finance Group Manager to play an integral part in supporting the expected rapid growth. Currently the business has c10 small investments whose monthly accounts require preparing in Sage Line 50. The individual will have responsibility for the preparation of the accounts for all the businesses with the support of a team of 4 which this individual will manage. The key requirement to the role will the ability to complete the complete accurate timely TB, P&L and BS for each entity after the base sales & purchase ledger entries have been added by the team. Once complete they will be presented and discussed with the Group Finance Director (GFD). The individual will also support the GFD with the preparation of cash flow forecasts, budgets and additional analysis for Group Exec's and management within each separate entity. In addition, they will also play a key role in the development of robust controls and processes across the group entities and complete bank reconciliations and VAT returns. Roles and Responsibilities will include:- Assist with the smooth day to day running of the accounts department to cover all aspects of the accounting function and associated administrative matters.Preparation of monthly management accounts and related management information, for review by the Finance Director.Preparation of cash flow forecasts and budgets.Posting of all bank receipts and payments.Preparation of daily bank reconciliations.Dealing with supplier invoices, ensuring due authorisation and posting to the purchase ledger. Posting of purchase ledger payments and production of aged creditor reports. Supplier statement reconciliations.Raising of sales invoices, posting of customer payments, and managing debtors.Preparation of VAT returns.Posting of journal entries, nominal ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.Ad-hoc matters relating to finance, administration and system data entry. This role will suit an accountant either qualified, or qualified by experience, proven for some time in the preparation of accounts to review level. The consolidations are relatively straight-forward so the individual does not require previous Group or consolidation experience simply the ability to deliver full accounts for SME businesses. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in a similar hands-on role that includes excellent organisational and communication skills, will need a "pro-active" and "Can-Do" attitude This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a Finance Function and team to support the business as it grows.
