Commercial Accountant

Marks Sattin are currently working with a UK household FMCG company based in Alfreton to assist in the recruitment of a Commmercial Accountant.

Responsibilities:

* Business Partner the Commercial Sales Team in decision-making on investment and priority decisions across our brands, customers and channels

* Drive business profitability through Price Analysis and Retailer Joint Business Plans

* Monitor and Evaluate Customer Sales Performance and Rebate Tracking

* Assist with Monthly Board Pack insightful commentary and Variance Analysis

* Support Innovation team with NPD scenarios, decision support and tracking including post evaluation

* Ownership of Monthly Balance Reconciliations

* Deputise for Senior Commercial Finance Manager in partnering Commercial Controller Group and Strategic Revenue Manager

* PINC pipeline initiatives and action plans

* Involved in creation of Commercial budgeting and forecasting to identify challenges and build gap-filling action plans

* Management of Commercial Risk and Opportunities aligned with Demand Review cycles

Skills:

* Newly Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by Experience

* Experience of FMCG / Manufacturing

* Proactive with an enthusiasm and willingness to challenge

* Excellent communication skills and an ability to influence outside own area

* Experience of system process improvements - able to develop news ways of working to streamline operations and remove non value added activities

* Highly numerate

* Knowledge of SAP

* Strong Microsoft skills
