I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a very successful and growing business in Ellesmere Port. Reporting to the Finance Director you will play a key role alongside an established team a complex and exciting business.

Duties will include:

* Preparation of Management Accounts for multiple companies
* Intercompany reconciliations
* Bank reconciliations
* Cash flow forecasting
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Purchase / Sales invoice posting and reconciliation
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Fixed Asset register & Depreciation
* Accruals & Prepayments
* Lead schedules for audit purposes
* Variance & Margin analysis
* Presentation suite of accounts to FD on monthly basis
* Add new business to AO and support FD in AO month end close procedures
* Ad hoc reporting
* Ensure the New Business report has been reconciled before issuing.
* Create the payment schedule and ensure the correct bank account has been used to assign payment
* Ensure the full payment schedule is signed off by the Chairman before payments are made
* Any compliance issues are flagged to the compliance team when they occur
* To work alongside the Finance Director on budgeting and forecasting income, and ad hoc analysis and reporting as required
* Ensuring reports are generated with accuracy
* Preparation and issue of various internal reports at specific dates/frequencies, including consultant commission statements, new business, aged debt, introducer statements
* Production of management information, as and when requested
* Ensure we have an audit trail and clear record keeping for commission statements

Qualifications and Experience:

* ACCA/CIMA/AAT studier/Part-Qual/QBE
* Experience in change management
* Experience in systems development
* Excel modelling experience
* Ability to prioritise and work under pressure of tight deadlines
* Strong Excel skills
* Ability to build strong relationships
* Must be able to clearly articulate complex financial information to non-financial operational contacts
