Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to working on an exclusive basis with a well established yet ever-growing business in Newark as they look to recruit an ambitious and motivated Management Accountant for their team. Due to an internal promotion, this is a newly created role as they look to continue growth on the back of a successful year in 2021 and they are also in the final stages of completing a significant business acquisition which will increase their annual turnover to circa £60 Million. They are based within an easily accessible location and boast excellent facilities.

They employ approximately 250 people and have operations spanning all across the UK. The role primary function is to support the Financial Controller in terms of Management Accounts production, budgeting and forecasting, performing commercial analysis and oversee aspects of payroll. The successful Management Accountant will also be responsible for managing a ledger manager who oversees all the transactions with their team. You will also have chance to work closely with department heads and operational teams and be the link between the wider business and finance.

This is a varied role with duties to include: -

*Production of Management Accounts for 2 companies (Including P&L and Balance Sheet)
*Conducting any variance analysis and associated commentary
*Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for the group
*Performing commercial analysis and profitability analysis on contracts
*Assessing contract performance and liaising with operational teams to discuss financials/ budgets etc
*Processing monthly payroll for 70 employees and overseeing the weekly payroll (approx. 150 staff) which is done by a separate payroll clerk
*Managing 1 member of staff; Ledger Manager (They manage 4 members of staff who cover both AP and AR)
*Driving continuous improvement to develop better processes where possible
*Working with other department heads/ senior stakeholders to communicate financial information

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Accountant (Qualified by Experience will also be considered)
*Commercial acumen
*Good IT skills
*Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
*Demonstrable evidence of engaging internal and external stakeholders
*Strong communication and Business Partnering skills

The company offers an excellent package, which includes: -

*Salary of up to £45,000 (dependent on experience)

The role will be split between home working and office which will most likely be 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home. Hours of work are 8am- 5pm but flexibility can be offered.
