Marks Sattin are working in partnership with a leading Financial Services organisation in Birmingham to recruit a Regulatory Reporting Accountant on a full-time permanent basis.
The Regulatory Reporting team is well established consisting of talented and hard working individuals, with a culture whch encourages growth and development. In this role there will be lots of exposure to regulatory reporting and as the business continues to grow there will also be lots of exposure to some exciting projects.
The Regulatory Reporting Accountant will play an integral part of the Finance department and will support the processes and controls in place within regulatory reporting. You will work closely with a variety of stakeholders to prepare regulatory returns and implement changes to processes and procedures.
Responsibilities of the Regulatory Reporting Accountant include:
- Prepare key regulatory returns for review by the Regulatory Reporting Manager including Prudential and statistical reporting for the PRA, FCA and Bank of England.
- Review of regulatory returns prepared offshore.
- Maintain key Excel support spreadsheets, including ensuring compliance with End User Computing requirements.
- Prepare analysis of key regulatory returns, investigate variances and escalate concerns to the Regulatory Reporting Manager.
- Provide analytical support for key data requests including thematic reviews.
- Ensure timely submission of key regulatory returns following completion of all necessary controls and checks.
To be considered you must:
- A Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Basic Knowledge of the regulatory framework
- Strong Experience of financial reporting with the financial services industry is essential.
- Some experience in a role involving data interrogation and analysis is essential.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word & PowerPoint is essential
