Elevation Accountancy & Finance are really pleased to be working in partnership with a growing organisation based in the Sheffield area!

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a fun and friendly team, working from their Head Office to support with a range of duties across finance from the day-to-day transactional duties i. purchase and sales ledger, through to monthly management accounts and year-end preparation. This is an immediate start position, but there is definitely potential for the position to become a longer term or permanent one!

The successful candidate will have at between 3-5 years' experience working within a varied accounting role covering the below duties, as well as excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with individuals at varying levels both internal and external to the organisation.

Duties of the Bookkeeper will include (but are not limited to):

- Managing the production of monthly accounts (Invoicing & purchases)
- Weekly/daily Bank Reconciliation
- Payment Runs
- Budgeting and cash flow forecasts
- Month end procedure to include Deferred Income spread sheet and journals (accruals & Prepayments).
- Reports - P&L, inhouse CRM
- Fixed asset register
- Purchase ledger
- Credit control / sales ledger
- Vat Returns
- Preparation of year end accounts
- Liaise/support AM's in chasing debt and copy/produce documentation when required.
- Ensure expenses claims are received from all Directors and AM's, check items claimed, check addition, update mileage spread sheets and pass for payment.
- Periodically and as required update client credit rating recorded on Unity by reference to the rating given by the Risk Disk credit reference agency
- Manage petty cash
- Manage the stationery order process and the stationery stock held.
- Support Manager with the payroll process, to include yearend, P11Ds, HMRC payments
- Budget variance analysis
- Cash flow analysis
- Commission payment analysis
- Other project work and support to manager

Person specification:

·Proven experience working within a fast paced, varied accounting role - ideally AAT qualified
·Educated to GCSE level, including Maths & English
·Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
·Experience of working with SAGE (desirable)
·Strong communication skills
·Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet strict deadlines
