Our client has an opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to ensure the delivery of a high quality, efficient and effective payroll service across the Group, ensuring that all legal and regulatory requirements are consistently met. 

Meticulous and organised, you will manage all monthly payrolls, including calculations relating to Superannuation, PAYE and National Insurance. You’ll process claims for additional payment or deductions (such as overtime or travel) and ensure salaries / wages and SSP and SMP are accurately recorded for audit purposes. Financially-astute, you will be responsible for preparing all end of year statutory returns and schedules for the Inland Revenue, Contributions Agencies and Pensions organisations and will complete all end year processes including P60s and P11ds.  You will arrange for the preparation and despatch of BACs and cheques, ensuring that all documentation is maintained for external parties such as the Inland Revenue and pension organisations. You will also manage the Payroll Officer, encouraging personal growth and development to ensure that their services meet their high standards of performance. 

With experience in a senior payroll manager role,  you will demonstrate a background in the successful running of all month-end processes and will be accustomed to preparing payroll reports and tax & NI payments. You will have a comprehensive understanding of payroll processes including, joiners, leavers, maternity, paternity, student loans and PAYE and P35, P45, P60, P11D. They’re looking for someone who can manage multiple payrolls and confidently liaise with external stakeholders such as HMRC and DWP. You will have experience of Auto Enrolment and will be IT literate and able to use payroll software.
