Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner for a successful international manufacturing business in Barnsley.

Located within easy access of the M1, the role is to work for the Group finance team and you will be responsible for the reporting for one of their cost centres which has a turnover of £40-50m.

You will have the support of an Assistant Accountant, and a key part of your role will be reviewing financial information.

Responsibilities will include:

- Posting month end journals and reports
- Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and SOX reporting after month end
- Reviewing of journals, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX reporting to tight deadlines
- Statutory accounts completion
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Tax packs analysis and tax packs completion
- Assistance with audit queries
- Any other ad hoc tasks in line with assisting the Financial Controller

Key Skills / Qualifications:

- Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience
- Experience of financial and management accounts preparation
- Able to demonstrate team building skills and being a team player
- Good verbal and written communicator at all levels and in varying situations
- General ledger experience essential
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and team working skills
